As Senior Publicist and Brand Communications Manager of the iconic and trusted PEOPLE, PEOPLE En Español, and Entertainment Weekly brands, I managed the day-to-day of the pressroom, generating widespread and impactful coverage for these leading entertainment brands’ content, event franchises, partnerships, news-making moments and more. In addition to my strong relationships with the media, and creator-inclusive communications strategy, I worked closely with the brands' marketing partners on exclusive initiatives and events such as premieres, award shows, red carpets, the PEOPLE & SAG-AFTRA Post-Awards Gala, PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive Franchise, PEOPLE & Entertainment Weekly’s Red Carpet Live shows and more. Working in such a fast-paced environment, I stayed on the pulse of what's trending in the industry and after spending the latter part of her career studying the media shift from the lens of a legacy company, and adopted both traditional and non-traditional PR methods in a media landscape that's ever-evolving and adapting to the world of consumers and creators.
Blackprint & Diversity + Inclusion Council - Meredith Corporation
Associate Director, Content & Strategy
At PEOPLE's parent company, Meredith Corporation, I also served as Chair of :BLACKPRINT, the Black Employee Business Group representative of the Black voice at Meredith Corporation. My passion for diverse storytelling and positive representation of people of color in media and entertainment helped drive my desire to push for advancements in the industry. As the Global Lead for :BLACKPRINT, I was able to reinvent the role of traditional ERGs and solidified BLACKPRINT's standing as a business asset to the corporation's bottom line.

As part of this role, I helped the publishing company's brand portfolio expand their multicultural audiences and created three new content series: :BLACKPRINT #NoFilter and "In Conversation With" - where Black changemakers like John Legend, Janelle Monae and Stacey Abrams and more speak to the importance of diversity in the media and :BP POWER HOUR's where attendees are able to obtain tangible skills to assist in their personal growth and professional career.
